Meet Brian – our newest team member joining our CHB team. Brian was born in Guilderland and grew up on a farm outside of Rotterdam. Brian went on to study Business Administration at Binghamton University with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and focus in Supply Chain Management/Logistics—I think this was some foreshadowing into his future of freight forwarding! Before joining Trans-Border, Brian interned at Plug Power and post-graduation he worked at Regeneron. When Brian isn’t working, he enjoys spending his time outdoors (a common theme among the men of Trans-Border!) fishing, camping and skiing, wrenching on cars, hitting the gym, and—in his own words—“usually watching the NY Giants disappoint me 3 nights a week”—a feeling many can relate to with their beloved NY sports teams… As a man of logic and reasoning, Brian would choose the ability to fly as his superpower since it is the most useful and practical of the superpower choices. Maybe the price of overseas flights influenced his decision as well since he would choose an all-inclusive vacation to Japan or Italy—plus would shave off some serious travel time! Music is also a huge influence in Brian’s life and would be his first choice in entertainment on a cross-country road trip, specifically either 80s/90s rock, 2000s pop, or 2010s hip-hop/rap. He would also make music the center of attention at his exclusive dinner party, inviting Mac Miller, Post Malone and David Grohl to the event with hopes of it ending in an epic concert (if I could, I would 1000% buy tickets to that show!). Brian can be described as active, kind and reliable, and, if he could give his younger self a piece of advice, it would be ‘just be patient and everything will work out the way it should’.
