Meet Jake – our newest team member–and first new hire of 2026!–joining our sales team as our Inside Sales Account Executive! While Jake has not worked in freight forwarding specifically, he is no stranger to the world of logistics. With a strong background in domestic shipping (LTL and small parcel), Jake will bring plenty of new opportunities to Trans-Border while learning the ropes of international logistics. Outside of work, Jake enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends, and watching sports–his favorites include the NFL (big Panther’s fan) and college basketball. Fun fact: when he was 12 years old, he got to meet (arguably?) the greatest basketball player of all time–LeBron James! (Anyone else think of the “Lah-bronn Jaaaaames” vine circa 2014 every time you hear his name? Just me? Ok, I digress…). Despite living in upstate NY, Jake is not the biggest fan of the snow (although, who really is in these recent conditions…) so he would choose teleportation as his superpower, so anytime he see’s a snowflake–poof!–he’s at the beach! For now, he’ll have to travel by plane or car, but thankfully he has some entertainment to pass the time–he is a huge R&B fan (preferably early 2000s), and his favorite podcasts are PMT (Pardon My Take) and The Pivot Podcast. If Jake was to host an exclusive dinner party with any guests of his choosing, he would invite Jay-Z (to provide the “Blueprint”), Kevin Hart (for the laughs), and Luke Kuechly (his favorite Carolina Panther of all time). Jake can be described as hardworking, trustworthy, and genuine, and shared his personal motto of, “it is what it is” and how you respond is the most important part of it all.
