Meet Kerry – our newest team member joining as our Human Resource Generalist! Kerry grew up on Long Island, moved to Columbia County in high school, and settled roots in Saratoga Springs after college graduation. Kerry hasn’t worked directly in freight forwarding, but she brings over 13 years of experience from the renewable energy sector and other industries focusing on HR, operations, and finance—a triple threat! Kerry is a proud dog mom to her German Shepherd, Bjorn, a rescue from Dallas, TX, with a calm and sweet personality who is also going through AKC Canine Good Citizen training in hopes of becoming a therapy dog (as if he couldn’t pull on my heart strings anymore!). Outside of work, Kerry enjoys staying active through yoga and yard work, spending time with Bjorn outdoors, and is very passionate about volunteering and community activities—a big reason why she is excited to join Trans-Border and support our giveback initiatives! If Kerry could choose any superpower in the world, she would choose the ability to pause time to reset and connect with family and friends since time seems to be going by so quickly (I couldn’t agree more, and if you ever figure out how to pause time, let me know!). Since Kerry is very active outside of work, she would choose an all-inclusive vacation to her dream destination to get some R&R beachside while listening to her favorite music from the 80s and 90. Kerry can be described as reliable, dedicated, and organized (the perfect combination for HR), and shared a personal motto she’s been using lately to help keep things moving forward and focus on making progress: “get it done”. Simple, yet so impactful!
