Meet Lauren – our newest team member joining our Import Operations department. Lauren was born on Long Island but moved to the Capital Region at the ripe age of four, calling Albany her home. Since she was 15, Lauren has worked in the hospitality industry in nearly every front of house position you could think of – counter service, hosting, serving, bartending, bar/front of house management, event coordination and banquet management (did I miss anything??). Outside of work, Lauren is an avid gamer and loves to spend time with her cat, Stevie. If granted superpowers, Lauren would choose teleportation so she could save on some gas mileage – and maybe some foot mileage while on her choice of a backpacking/camping trip so she could explore even more! Until a mad scientist invents teleportation, she’ll pass her time traveling listening to her preferred Spotify playlist that includes a wide variety of artists and genres. Speaking of music artists… Lauren would invite the one and only Taylor Swift to her exclusive dinner party, accompanied by James Gandolfini since The Sopranos is her favorite show of all time (great taste, btw) and her late-mother – the perfect wholesome dinner party. Lauren can be described as personable, witty and dedicated and lives by the personal motto “there is always a light that shines through the dark.”
