Meet Michael – our newest team member joining our Trade Finance team. Michael is local to the Capital Region, located in the Ballston Spa area with his German Shephard, Zena. Before joining Trans-Border, Michael was in the hospitality/tourism industry but decided to take the leap to try his hand at something new! In his free time, Michael enjoys spending it outdoors either fishing or going for a hike. Michael is definitely a lover of nature as he would choose to block out all the noise and distraction on a cross-country road trip by just simply enjoying the ride and looking out the window at all he passes by – if only my squirrel-like attention span would allow me such peace! Since Michael is only a short 30-minute drive from the ADK’s, he would choose to go on an all-inclusive vacation to Greece – his dream vacation destination – and explore all it has to offer. Because of his interest in traveling and exploring nature, it should come as no surprise that he would choose the ability to fly as his superpower so he could max out his efforts and never have to sit in traffic again – I’m sure a dream in itself for all of us! If Michael could invite any three people to a dinner party, he would choose Nolan Ryan, Jerry Garcia and Cosmo Kramer – a very interesting mix that would make for great conversation and plenty of laughs! Michael can be described as reliable, witty and hungry, and lives by the motto “a moment of pain is worth a lifetime of glory.”
