Meet Sergio—our newest team member joining the Agent Pricing & Routing department! Sergio is originally from Barranquilla, Colombia—a coastal city in the norther part of the country. Sergio began his logistics career at a freight forwarder in Colombia working in the pricing department, so he is no stranger to the industry! After working with us in a previous role, he took the leap to move to the Capital Region, bringing his knowledge and expertise to Trans-Border. As Sergio explores all the Capital Region has to offer, he has found it to be one of the “best places” he’s ever been (just wait until Spring and Summer make their official entrance—it’ll be even better!!). Fun fact: Sergio speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, English, German, and some French! Outside of work, Sergio enjoys learning new things, meeting new people, running, playing soccer or basketball, reading, trying new restaurants, watching movies, and most importantly—spending time with his wife 😊. If Sergio could choose any superpower in the world, he would choose the ability to freeze time— “sometimes you just need a pause to appreciate a moment or reflect on your thoughts.” Sounds like a superpower we could all benefit from! At Sergio’s exclusive dinner party, the three guests he would invite are Isaac Asimov, John Lennon, and Salvador Dalí as he would love to listen to their insights and knows they’d keep the party conversation interesting! Since Sergio loves nature and the outdoors, he would choose a camping trip to his dream destination over an all-inclusive vacation, listening to his favorite genres of music (70’s and 80’s rock, disco, and soul hits) to pass the time. Sergio can be described as creative, thoughtful, and a good listener (the trifecta of characteristics for logistics 😊), and shared a personal motto he lives by: Sic Parvis Magna, a Latin motto meaning “greatness from small beginnings.”
